Who We Are
Our district holds four different Jerseys: inland hometowns, the towns around Barnegat Bay, the Pinelands, and the beaches. They don't look alike, but they're up against a lot of the same things: rising costs, stronger storms, and a Congress that keeps letting them down.
Inland

Horse Farms & Hometowns
Almost half the district lives in these inland towns, from the horse farms of Colts Neck to Allaire State Park's restored 19th-century iron village. Fort Monmouth is being rebuilt as homes and businesses in Eatontown and Tinton Falls. It's commuters, parents and small-business owners, doing the kitchen-table math on childcare, healthcare and the mortgage.

The Bay

Barnegat Bay & Its Rivers
A third of the district lives along Barnegat Bay and the rivers that feed it: the Manasquan, the Metedeconk and the Toms River. It runs from Toms River and Brick, two of our biggest towns, to little Island Heights and Ocean Gate, and the Holiday City retirement communities in Berkeley. Rent, insurance and the price of a first home keep climbing.

The Pines

Into the Pinelands
Head west and the district runs into the Pinelands National Reserve: sand roads, cedar water and pitch pine through Jackson, Plumsted, Manchester and Lakehurst. It's home to Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, where the Hindenburg came down in 1937, and to Manchester's active-adult communities. In April 2025, the Jones Road fire burned more than 15,000 acres of Ocean County's Pine Barrens.

Boardwalks & Barrier Island
The smallest region by year-round population, and the one everyone pictures: thirteen towns from Avon-by-the-Sea past the Manasquan Inlet and down the barrier island to Seaside Park. They've rebuilt after storms more than once, and flood insurance gets more expensive every year.
