Senator Andy Kim Endorses New Jersey Congressional Nominee Rachel Peace

Ocean County, NEW JERSEY, August 20, 2026 — United States Senator Andy Kim has endorsed Congressional Nominee Rachel Peace from New Jersey’s 4th District covering parts of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Rachel isn’t someone who dreamed about being in politics, and that’s why so many people are drawn to her. She’s a working mom who knows the struggle of affording healthcare and childcare firsthand. A small-business owner and community advocate born and raised at the Jersey Shore, Peace is also a single mother of a biracial son — both of whom rely on NJ FamilyCare. Healthcare is a priority pillar of her campaign and the main reason she ran for office. Peace supports Senator Kim’s MediKids Act proposal that would automatically enroll every child born in the United States into Medicaid’s Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) benefit. This proposal will ensure quality healthcare for all children at a time when Americans are struggling to afford basic needs for their families.

ABOUT THE NOMINEE

Rachel Peace, the Democratic nominee for New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District, was born and raised at the Jersey Shore. As a mom, small-business owner, and community advocate, she has spent years pushing for policies that make life more affordable for New Jersey families, from healthcare and housing to food and education. Peace believes the high cost of living reflects a broken system, not personal failure, and it’s a system she has navigated herself. She has also worked to curb pollution and protect open space for her five-year-old’s future.

In 2022, Peace founded Hyperfocused Communications, a small business providing media relations and content marketing to nonprofits, founders, and startups. Earlier in her career, she worked on NYC’s Broadway Week, building on theatrical roots planted at Brick Memorial High School. She earned her B.A. in Public Relations from Hofstra University in 2014, with minors in Sociology and Drama.
