Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman Endorses New Jersey Congressional Nominee Rachel Peace
Congresswoman Watson Coleman and Peace share connections on working families, civil rights, and making polluters pay
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, September 10, 2026 — United States Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman has endorsed Congressional Nominee Rachel Peace from New Jersey’s 4th District covering parts of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Rachel Peace is the leader we need fighting every day for women’s health access and standing firm for civil rights. Her grassroots campaign is powered by real people and not special interests. I’m proud to endorse her and I know she’ll bring that same energy and integrity to office.
— Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman
As a single mother and civil rights advocate within her community, Peace has made civil rights and healthcare access a central focus of her campaign. Peace supports Congresswoman Watson Coleman’s Healthy MOM Act, which aims to improve the healthcare access for pregnant women and those after childbirth. This act gives new mothers the opportunity to easily obtain health insurance, allowing them to focus on themselves and their new family.
I am deeply honored to be endorsed by Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, whom I greatly admire for her dedication to advocating for civil rights and ensuring that women’s voices are heard in policy decisions. She is a trailblazer for representation who fought for the economically and socially disadvantaged. She has championed mothers, advanced mental health care, combatted poverty, promoted progressive pilots, put people and planet over profit, and set an example by passing the torch to the next generation of leaders. I am running a grassroots campaign that amplifies underrepresented voices to spark change, and I commit to continuing Congresswoman Watson Coleman’s legacy when I represent the Jersey Shore in Congress.
— Rachel Peace, Democratic Nominee NJ-04
As the founder of a strategic communications firm, Peace has built-in experience in media relations, content strategy, and bringing important issues like civil rights, climate justice, and healthcare access to the public. Peace first connected with Congresswoman Watson Coleman at an event where her young biracial son was able to meet the first Black woman New Jersey ever sent to Congress.

ABOUT THE NOMINEE
Rachel Peace, the Democratic nominee for New Jersey’s 4th Congressional District, was born and raised at the Jersey Shore. As a mom, small-business owner, and community advocate, she has spent years pushing for policies that make life more affordable for New Jersey families, from healthcare and housing to food and education. Peace believes the high cost of living reflects a broken system, not personal failure, and it’s a system she has navigated herself. She has also worked to curb pollution and protect open space for her five-year-old’s future.
In 2022, Peace founded Hyperfocused Communications, a small business providing media relations and content marketing to nonprofits, founders, and startups. Earlier in her career, she worked on NYC’s Broadway Week, building on theatrical roots planted at Brick Memorial High School. She earned her B.A. in Public Relations from Hofstra University in 2014, with minors in Sociology and Drama.
